- We have used the NMT emulator for many years. It is a low cost, effective & easy to use product.
We have almost 5,500 staff members that use the product for daily 3270 Mainframe access and it does it's job flawlessly.
It is a piece of software you can install and never give it a second thought.
I also appreciate how easy it is to configure and it's minimal resource usage.
Steven Emilienburg - North East School District.
- We are using Nexus about three years. Previously we use another Terminal emulator product.
Our applications mostly depends Terminal emulator connect to Mainframe though hllapi interface to get information.
It's significant change from old tools to new one. Luckily, we chose new tools which system support,
Hans Erik is very experience and helpful in this migration project. He's fast response per our request.
Let us smoothly switch to Nexus and end-users feel satisfactory.
Rickie Hui - Sr. SA, AIA Hong Kong.
- After researching emulators to replace an ancient 16-bit emulator with, chose Nexus Terminal because it supported
server based installation, hllapi, host connections through SSL and could run under Vista/Windows 7.
In addition to working best with those conditions, Nexus Terminal was the only one that could be made to work with
an critical 16-bit hllapi application that cannot be updated due to a number of factors.
The main factor though in selecting Nexus Terminal was that the customer support has been fantastic.
The hllapi functionality was extended by Hans even while we were just in evaluation.
Questions and suggestions were received and answered enthusiastically, no matter what the subject.
Michael Slack - United Space Alliance.
- Have been using Nexus terminal client for both 3270 and 5250 service for approximately eight
years and have been pleased with its operation. Have expanded use to the TN3270 print function
and has proven to be flexible and reliable. Various users in the organization have made use
of the FTP client on their own, something they are able to accomplish without help desk support.
The product suite is very reasonably priced as is maintenance. Customer and technical support
is friendly and responsive. Requested upgrade of product functions are provided with short
turnaround time. Functional issues are also addressed and resolved with thorough expedition.
Over all, this is a very good product.

- I have recently switched to another team in my company and had to turn in the company owned desktop which
had IBM's PCOMM on it. The new team did not provide a 3270 emulator for on-call work. I had to remotely
access the office machine which was a slow process. I evaluated several free trials of various emulators
but only one, Nexus Terminal, had 100% of the features that I required. I was logged on and using the product
immediately after installation and felt as if I had been using it for years. I emailed the author thanking him
and actually got a response the next day. Try that with IBM! Good job Nexus!
Jay Wilson - Advanced Software Engineer, Alliance Communications Network.
- We are using both 3270 and 5250. Previously we used Rumba but thought it was both expensive and to advanced
for our needs. Therefore, as we were about to freshen up our client environment from Windows 2000 to XP I made
some research among terminal emulators and found Nexus. Having tested Nexus we found that it met our requirements
very well and the adjustments needed were soon fixed by Nexus personnel in house.
I am very pleased with the quick response I get when I require additions or amendments. The personal and quick
response that Nexit gives is unbeatable. Furthermore it is a considerably cheaper alternative than those offered
by their competitors.
Magnus Jerkhagen - Volvofinans IT AB
- In using your product to address specific and customized needs, I have found your product to be fast and
consistently reliable. During my comparison of multiple products, I have found your product to best handle my
requirements. I am impressed with your company's ability to respond quickly to my inquiries.
Jules Perkins, III, PMP - Amadeus IT Group SA
- We are using Nexus Terminal emulator 3270. I was looking for some script functionality in our present software.
I asked for help in those functionality. Author of the software tried to understand my requirement & incorporated
those changes in the software. It shows, they are concern about there customer(s) requirement & they improve there
product continuously as per customer(s) requirement.
Anit Banerjee - Tata Cummins
- After some research and tests, we have decided few years ago to migrate from WRQ Reflection 16bits
to NMT full Windows 32bits compliant. We are using 3270 and 5250 terminal emulation mode. Some people
also use the FTP functionality. Easy to install and deploy even if you are (like us) in Windows Terminal
Server architecture, I can also recommend this program because it's suitable to our 260 users and because
we save a lot of money compared to WRQ.
Louison Hermant - Editons Atlas
- Installs and can connect in under a minute, fast, and the install can fit on a floppy.
What really makes this product the best is the author. If you find any problem with
this product, the author will usually have a fix within 24 hours. The author takes his product
very serious and personal. The price of this product for an enterprise solution is pennies per
Michael Pittsley - The MONY Group
- Our company recently switched to NMT from Chameleon 3270. While I was somewhat
skeptical at first, Nexus is a much smaller company, the support I recently received
was unbelievable. We needed NMT to grab some text off the screen and paste it in the
clipboard. We could not find the functionality in the software, but after contacting
Nexus, we had the functionality in a couple of days. Try getting those big software
companies to make enhancements to their software in a couple of months, yet days!
Nexus's NMT saved us money, now its saving us time through its advanced scripting.
Drew DeGraff - Computer Analyst, Levolor
- My company works with many clients with mainframes that use 3270 access. In the past we have
used expensive software solutions like WRQ Reflections. With NMT we were able to cut cost
drastically and save resources. Hans Erik shows a strong commitment, and his support
for the product was top notch. I would highly recommend NMT to any one.
David Rizzo - Network Administrator, Financial Corporation of America
- I wanted to let you know how well your NMT program fills our needs at the Dept of Corrections. After
many hours of research we ended up using your program. We had a hard time finding one program
that worked well on all the Windows platforms. The extensive customization options are a real benefit
when you have a user base of 1,200 people. The built in FTP saves a lot of time not having to open another program for that
function. The Trace and Capture features come in handy too. To sum it up, your NMT program is an excellent piece of software.
Bob Montag - Network Tech, ALASKA Dept. Of Corrections
- I have used several major vendors' 3270 Terminal Emulator Programs for
years and I have not found one that has all the features NMT3270 has
and use so little resources (1.5 MB installed). I especially like the Screen
capture and Script features in NMT3270, which are usually only found in
expensive Mainframe test tool software. I can automate my on-line Y2K testing
with NMT3270 and not have to purchase or learn a test tool.
Richard Burchett - Supervisory Computer Specialist, Navy Reserve Information Systems Office
- Since we started using NMT3270 our problems with other incomplete emulators
have been resolved. The administrative staff here at the University of Rhode Island
is very comfortable with the professional interface you have developed. Your level of
support makes technical support comfortable too. NMT is a 10 out of 10.
Alan G. Wild - Sr. Programmer/Analyst Management Information Services, University of Rhode Island Kingston
- My company purchased NMT to allow us remote 3270 access to our clients mainframe. We had been
using the IBM Host On Demand facility included with Netscape but found
it to be lacking in many areas. Our mainframe sessions are more reliable using NMT
and being able to cut and paste from the screen (something the IBM product did not
allow) has helped our productivity.
Peter Sorando - VP Windermere Technologies
- The things I like best about NMT versus other emulators is its small resource
requirement and it's simplicity. I'm using other emulators because I need a DOS
HLLAPI, but for straightforward 3270 emulation over IP I recommend/use NMT.
It's fast, doesn't use much in the way of resources and easy to setup. In most cases
it's a simple 5 minute setup over the phone to get my clients connected to the mainframe.
Stefan Beeli - ESP Computer Service
- We have been using NMT for more than two months and it has worked correctly every
single day. We have a staff of 8 people using the product. The only "glitch" we
have experienced turned out to be something that was covered in the feature set
of the program. Our financial people needed the period key on the keypad to produce
a period rather than a comma. Clicking one checkbox produced the needed result.
Richard Sutor - Appoquinimink School District
- The functionality and robustness of NMT is as good as any product that I have
evaluated on the market. The personal commitment and confidence that Hans Erik showed
for his product is exceptional. He seems to take pride in what he delivers and does not
hesitate to get personally involved with a potential client. My experience with Hans
Erik have been very positive (productive) and highly recommended by my organization.
Sheantré Noé - Project Manager, Truworths
